1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DWYT - Don't Waste Your Time ("DWYT", "the App") handles information when you use the App.
2. Information stored on your device
The personal content you create in DWYT, including activities, plans, categories, time commitments, templates, and settings, is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. DWYT does not upload this planning content to its own servers.
Deleting the App may delete this local content. A subscription restore does not restore local planning data.
3. Usage analytics and feedback
DWYT uses PostHog's EU-hosted service to collect three pseudonymous usage events: app_open, time_block_started, and day_2_return.
These events may include a randomly generated installation identifier, timestamp, App version, operating system, device type, screen dimensions, and network-derived information processed by PostHog. They do not include the content of your plans, activities, categories, time commitments, or templates.
If you voluntarily submit feedback, DWYT sends the feedback text and associated technical context to PostHog. Do not include sensitive personal information in feedback.
Automatic screen tracking, touch tracking, and session replay are disabled. You can opt out of PostHog analytics in Settings > Data Collection. When opted out, usage events and in-app feedback submission are disabled.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
DWYT uses RevenueCat to provide and manage DWYT Pro subscriptions. RevenueCat and the applicable app store process information needed to complete and restore purchases. This may include a pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID; product, entitlement, purchase, renewal, expiration, and cancellation information; store transaction and receipt information; and app, platform, country, and device-related technical information.
DWYT does not receive or store your complete payment-card details. Payment information is handled by the applicable app store.
5. Purposes and legal bases
- Pseudonymous usage analytics are processed based on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the App, subject to your in-app opt-out.
- Feedback is processed because you voluntarily choose to submit it.
- Subscription information is processed as necessary to provide DWYT Pro, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Where local law requires consent or another legal basis, we will rely on that basis.
6. Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared with PostHog, RevenueCat, and the applicable app store only as needed for the purposes described above. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention periods are determined by the purpose of processing, legal requirements, and the providers' retention settings. Local App content remains on your device until you delete it, reset the App, or uninstall the App.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to receive a portable copy.
- Opt out of analytics in the App's Settings.
- Delete or export local App data using Data Management.
- Manage or cancel a subscription through the applicable app store.
- Use Restore Purchases to recover an eligible subscription associated with the same store account.

8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
9. Children
DWYT is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to digital services in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The updated date at the top identifies the current version.
